MY PROCESS: BUILDING A SOCIAL APP
PlayDate: Having a social circle is a key factor in one's overall health and lifespan.
WHAT PROBLEM DOES THIS SOCIAL APP SOLVE?

STEP ONE: Brainstorm and Market Research
• SWOT Analysis and conduct exploratory research,
• Interview potential end users,
• Being initial sketches,
• Remember "anything is possible."










STEP TWO: User Stories and Feature Lists
• Create a list of needed screens, features and write user stories,
• Identify UI elements needed for positive UX experiences,
• Identify "must have" features from "nice to have" features,
• Prioritize and discern which features should follow UI patterns and which can be broken,
• Create proof of concepts for more original, out of the box ideas.

STEP THREE: Wireframes
• Create wireframes in Axure RP, (used as "proof of concept")
• Continue research and sketching as needed,
• I like to mock-up entire user flows per user story with site maps, using "placeholder" UI elements,
• Conduct internal user tests (friends, family, coworkers, etc), usually A/B testing.

STEP FOUR: Comp Creation (Static and Interactivity)
• Create high res gifs for key UX behaviors/transitions not possible with "Principal for Mac,"
• Prioritize UI and UX problems to fix, iterate on designs, conduct more user testing.

STEP FIVE: User Testing
• Utilize (remote) "live recordings" and surveys to initiate qualitative user testing,
